Don't Shoot the Messenger by Daniel Grant Newton

World-renowned archeologist and anthropologist Doctor Irene Hadar is invited to the manor of celebrity business magnate Lord Alexander Cartwright for a proposition he assures her is worth leaving her dig for, halfway around the world.

He leads Dr. Hadar into an elevator that takes her down to a secret underground research facility where she learns about an advanced time machine built by an ancient civilisation.  It becomes apparent Lord Cartwright is using this machine to send elite soldiers back to key events in history.

The reason for Doctor Hadar’s appointment, should she choose to accept, is to go back to the year 31 A.D. with a group of elite soldiers, led by the handsome but cold Jude Stone, and help them find and assassinate an illusive controversial historical figure, thereby preventing the atrocities linked to his legacy.

But as the mission unfolds it becomes clear things are not as simple as they first appeared, and the team are split as they realise the possible ramifications of what they have been sent there to do.

This is the first novella in a new blockbuster series from author Daniel Grant Newton.
